2025 has been a great Jubilee year for the Church in general, but it has also been a very special year for ADoRE, the Alton Day of Renewal, celebrating our Golden Jubilee. For fifty years we have been helping people to experience refreshment of the graces received at Baptism and Confirmation, through our monthly mini-retreat meetings on Zoom and in person.
Meetings include Mass and adoration, praise and worship, prophetic sharing, inspired teaching and prayer from leading names in Charismatic Renewal and follow up prayer ministry.
The following is typical of the hundreds of messages of appreciation ADoRE received this year: “Wow! what a powerful day you presented. Every aspect starting with Holy Mass was just wonderful. Praise and worship was amazing, testimony beautiful and of course the talk so touching and spiritual. Praise God for all of you.”
'I want to congratulate you for your 50 years of faithfulness to the Holy Spirit'
As we have been celebrating throughout the year, many Church leaders have sent their congratulations. For example, we received a greeting from Cardinal Raniero Cantalamessa, preacher to the Papal household for the last three Popes, who said: “I want to congratulate you for your 50 years of faithfulness to the Holy Spirit and the current of grace of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.”
We also received greetings from renewal pioneer Patti Gallagher Mansfield, Charles Whitehead, Michelle Moran. Jenny Baker, Ros Powell and Gary Stephens. Bishop David Oskley prayed: “Father in Heaven... we ask you to continue to pour out your blessings upon the ministry of ADoRE and all involved. Amen."

'Exciting' programme lined up for 2026
With God’s grace, we look forward to many more years of serving the Lord with our ministry of encouraging a personal relationship with God through his Son, Jesus Christ, and the charisms of his Holy Spirit.
We have an exciting programme lined up for 2026, with the theme “THE GREATEST GIFT IS LOVE - The transformative power of God's love.” We will explore the foundational truths of our faith, and how they reveal the amazing and powerful love of God. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we will be enabled to deepen our understanding and appreciation of the Good News and will also be inspired and equipped to share it with others.
Speakers lined up include Charles Whitehead, Jenny Baker, Fr Chris Thomas, Ros Powell, Dr. Maria Heath and Daniella Stephens. As well as inspiring us with their teaching, they will each conclude their talk with a special prayer asking the Holy Spirit to bless participants with charisms, in the ways that have been covered in their talks.

Livestreaming ADoRE Saturday morning meetings into local parishes
Topics covered in the year will include our personal relationship with God as perfect loving Father; the saving love of Jesus; the transforming love of the Holy Spirit; and of course the powerful love of God in action through healing. Each meeting offers follow-up personal prayer ministry from experienced ministers, either by phone after the Zoom meetings, or face-to-face at the in-person meetings.
In 2026, the in-person meetings will be in Christchurch in April and Reading in October. All other meetings are by Zoom. Full programme details are now available at www.altonrenewal.com/2026. Invitations to register will be published each month on ADoRE’s website, as well as in CHARIS England and Wales newsletters, website, and social media pages.
As well as attending the meetings as individuals, we also encourage people to look into the possibility of live-streaming the ADoRE Saturday morning meetings into a local parish meeting, perhaps organised by the prayer group or formation team. Details of how this could be done, as well as many other resources for parishes, can be found here: www.altonrenewal.com/your_parish
